The Country is inb a quandry about healthcare, about the recession, and me? I'm worried about the height of my grass in addition to all of the above.

However, having been axed from one of the larger credit card processors, I know more about this industry than I ever wanted to. My advise: cut up your credit cards and start using cash.

I think the banks believe they have all us "little guys" over a barrel, and perhaps they do at this point. However, with effort on our parts, we can take control of our lives back from the industry that has subjugated us to its control.

While I was working for the above mentioned industry, I was continually misinformed about the information that I was supposed to provide to "our merchants." And to all those to whom I unwittingly provided that misinformation, I apologize from the bottom of my heart.

Those merchants were subjected to fees that they were not legally liable to pay Those included fees for services they had long since not used, but according to my former employer, since they had not protested in time, too bad for you (and too good for us). Security fees were foisted upon them and were told that laws had been passed requiring them to subscribe to the programs that would "clean up" their systems.

I could go on and on, but for now, I will stop and post more later as I think of things that I learned in this shady business.
